Electrical Engineering Technician/Designer
M.D. Wessler and Associates is seeking an Electrical Engineering Technician/Designer looking for a long term career opportunity. Qualified applicants must have a certification from a two-year technical school or equivalent experience and be proficient in AutoCAD 2007.
We are looking for a motivated, ambitious individual for a challenging position which involves working as part of a team focused on electrical projects for municipal water and wastewater treatment facilities, commercial/industrial power and lighting, standby power systems, and instrumentation and control systems.
Applicants will work closely with engineers and other designers to develop engineering design documents. The Applicant will provide design and AutoCAD drawings that include conduit and wire sizing, electrical equipment layouts, lighting layouts for interior and exterior of buildings and structures, single-line diagrams, schematic wiring diagrams for motor control, and process and instrumentation drawings as required for each project under the technical guidance of a Professional Electrical Engineer. The Applicant should have a working knowledge of the latest version of the National Electrical Code.
Projects for our clients include conceptual studies, preliminary designs, cost estimates, and full design services including detailed design, construction documents, services during construction, and commissioning and startup.
Environmental Scientist
M.D. Wessler and Associates, Inc. is seeking an Environmental Scientist looking for a long term career opportunity. Qualified applicants must have a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Natural Resources, Geology, or a related field.
We are looking for a motivated, detail-oriented individual for a challenging position which involves working as part of a small team focused on environmental permitting, public education, technical report writing, and field investigations.
Applicants will produce field reports, write high quality environmental reports for a wide range of industries and municipalities, and work closely with engineers to acquire environmental permits for construction projects. Applicants should have the ability to interpret and apply state environmental regulations, have the ability to research, synthesize, and communicate new information quickly and communicate effectively with clients. Applicants should possess public speaking, technical writing, and computer skills.
Projects for our municipal and industrial clients include a wide range of environmental services; including environmental site assessments, NPDES permitting, Spill Controls and Countermeasures Plans, and Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans.
